Come out and see the stars through telescopes provided by the Astronomical Association of Southern Illinois and learn how to use the new Library Loan telescope available at the library. Viewing will be from 7:30 pm until 8:30 pm.

Great night of viewing. The clouds cleared enough for us to see M41 (cluster in Canis Major), M42 (Orion Nebula), Sirius, M45 (Pleiades), Mars, Mizar and Alcor (handle of the Big Dipper) and got to point our constellations to about 45 visitors! Also generated interest in the Library Telescope Loan program.
Great program! Looking forward to more collaborations between the AASI and Anne West Lindsey Library!
